Advancements in applied bioinformatics and sequencing technology have made whole genome sequencing (WGS) a key contender in routine biosafety testing and cell line characterization. The application of WGS is a viable option for replacing more fragmented data sets from older technologies, as it offers a fast and cost-effective way to capture a comprehensive view of the nucleic acid composition of a clonal cell line, a task that used to be slower and more expensive with older methods.

The Aptegra™ CHO genetic stability assay is fully validated to GMP quality standards and outperforms traditional testing methods with its enhanced speed and accuracy. This single assay can analyze information previously obtained from up to five different methods, providing gene of interest (GOI) sequence analysis, sequence analysis of flanking regions, integration site determination, analysis of insertions or deletions, and copy number determination validated for precision, accuracy, linearity, and range. Explore the performance of the Aptegra™ platform using WGS to provide a high-resolution, base-by-base view of an entire CHO cell genome.
