Lonza Capacity Update May 2024: Small Molecule APl and HPAPI Development

Source: Lonza

The 19 flexible suites for jet milling and pin milling at Lonza’s Monteggio facility represent a key part of the company’s particle engineering service offering. With 37 cGMP mills of different sizes and types, and dedicated areas for steroids, HPAPIs, and even cryogenic milling, the site is well-equipped to support a wide range of customer projects at any point in the development pipeline.

Importantly, the experienced R&D group at the site works closely with the in-house engineering team. As well as optimizing process parameters, they have the ability to adjust the machines to deliver optimal results, including adapting nozzle size, changing mill size, and even using different base materials. They are true problem-solvers, which is key to providing customers with material where dissolution rate, stability, and other parameters have been optimized to meet the target product profile. In this presentation from the May 2024 OPCU event, we provide an outline of our available capacity at the Lonza Monteggio site, focusing on how the Monteggio site is able to quickly respond to customer needs and how our R&D and Engineering teams work effectively together to solve your molecules challenge.
