Tips For Purifying Cryo-EM Samples
By Kristin Lenberg, Marketing Manager, Cytiva

A critical component in understanding a protein’s function is knowing the three-dimensional structure.
Cryo electron microscopy (cryo-EM) offers opportunities to determine structures for more challenging proteins. This includes membrane proteins and larger protein complexes which were previously too difficult to crystallize or too large to study with NMR. Technical improvements over the past years have made cryo-EM a widespread and important technique within structural biology.
This webinar focuses on the protein characterization and protein purification. For cryo-EM to be successful, these often require an iterative process to reach the required sample quality. Questions and answers that occurred during the live webinar are also featured.
