Samsung Biologics Capabilities Update May 2026: Large Molecule

Samsung Biologics evolved from a single manufacturing site in Songdo, South Korea, into a full-spectrum CDMO providing integrated services across research, development, and commercial manufacturing. In this on-demand presentation, viewers explored one of the company’s most significant recent milestones: the April 2026 acquisition of a 60,000-liter biologics manufacturing campus in Rockville, Maryland, which expanded Samsung Biologics’ total global capacity to 845 kiloliters.

Throughout the session, Ryan Lee, Senior Director of Sales & Operations, discussed how the Rockville site strengthened a dual-sourcing strategy spanning U.S.- and Korea-based manufacturing operations, while also positioning the company closer to the FDA, NIH, and major biotech hubs.
