Oncology drugs have rapidly evolved, but the delivery technology has not changed as quickly. While intravenous-based (IV) therapies are effective, they require patients to spend hours in an infusion center. In an effort to change how IV- and syringe-based oncology drug treatments are administered, West’s SmartDose® platform is available to expand patient access to SC delivery via a large-volume device that attaches to the patient. This gives the patient more freedom of movement at the center or allows administration to occur at a different location altogether.
