At Kincell Bio, a process and analytical development-focused CDMO, we specialize in overcoming development challenges to expedite your program's timeline. We understand the critical role of every parameter in cell therapy development, and to underscore the importance of media selection, we conducted a study evaluating the impact of three different commercially available cGMP-grade media on T-cell phenotype.

Our research revealed that the choice of media significantly influences both the CD4+/CD8 ratio and overall T-cell phenotype. This demonstrates the powerful effect a single parameter can have on the final product outcome and highlights the necessity for robust analytics to detect these crucial phenotypic differences.

For the study, previously selected CD4+/CD8+ T-cells were thawed and activated. They were then expanded for eight days post-activation in the three distinct cGMP-grade media. On day eight, we assessed the total viable cell number for each condition and thoroughly analyzed the T-cell phenotype to characterize the differences.
