Gene Editing Tools & Services: Gene Editing Proof Of Concept And Beyond In

Building broad gene-editing capabilities internally can require significant resources, capital, and time. Traditional partnerships may also introduce complex licensing arrangements, long-term contracts, and limited access to the range of editing modalities needed to identify the right approach.
Three defined partnership models offer therapeutic teams different paths based on where their programs are today: Proof of Concept, Clinical Candidate, and Pipeline Model. Each is designed around a specific development decision, with defined deliverables and timelines.
The Proof of Concept model is designed for early program evaluation. It provides up to three gene editors for a target, along with feasibility and initial safety data, in under six months. Standard terms, a fixed deliverable, and no long-term obligation allow teams to determine whether an edit is viable before committing significant internal resources.
For programs ready to advance toward the clinic, the Clinical Candidate model focuses on optimizing potency and specificity, in vivo validation, and IND-supporting characterization, with a typical timeline of 18 months or less. The Pipeline Model supports organizations pursuing multiple targets in parallel through broader collaboration and shared scientific expertise.
Across the models, five editing modalities, AI-driven discovery, centralized ownership, and streamlined licensing are designed to provide flexibility while reducing complexity. Programs can also progress toward cGMP manufacturing when they are ready.
Together, these models give therapeutic teams options for evaluating feasibility, advancing individual candidates, or building broader gene-editing pipelines based on their development goals and data needs.
