Singota’ s Goal of Celebrating & Expanding Women in STEM:
Singota Solutions, a women-founded and woman-owned privately held company, takes pride in supporting and celebrating women in STEM. Our leadership includes accomplished women like our Owner and Founder Alisa Kilgas, and our VP of R&D and Operations Dr. Mihaela Simianu, who exemplify our commitment to fostering female excellence in science and technology. As part of this ongoing endeavor, we are thrilled to celebrate our employee Kripal Patel, whose achievements in a predominantly male-dominated field are highlighted in her contribution to the book "Stronger Together: Women in Cybersecurity." Kripal's success story is a testament to Singota’s dedication to empowering women and advancing gender diversity in the scientific community.
Kripal Patel, Associate IT Technical Analyst/Cybersecurity at Singota Solutions, serves s an integral part in this endeavor to grow women in STEM journey, through her recent participation with this book. Kripal’s journey into IT and cybersecurity industry has been a challenging yet rewarding experience. She was working at Kelley School of Business when she contributed in "Stronger Together: Women in Cybersecurity." Kripal was also an active member of the Women in Cybersecurity community (her Inspiration for contributing to this book). Her career in IT started back in 2018, following her first internship in the field of Network Engineering. Motivated by a desire to deepen her knowledge and skills, Kripal decided to pursue further training and certifications in cybersecurity. The journey was far from easy, encountering numerous hurdles and overcoming various stereotypes and barriers. However, her passion for cybersecurity and determination to succeed kept her going. Through years of hard work, continuous learning, and perseverance, Kripal finally made significant strides in the field. Her contribution to "Stronger Together: Women in Cybersecurity" narrates her story in detail, revealing how she navigated the challenges of switching careers from Health Care to IT, the obstacles she faced as a woman in a predominantly male industry, and how she ultimately escalated her career in cybersecurity. Kripal’s story serves as a testament to the fact that it is possible to break through barriers and achieve a successful career in IT and cybersecurity, regardless of the challenges one might face.
