Bispecific antibodies (BsAbs) present significant challenges in production due to their complex structure. By focusing on optimizing the upstream process, you can improve BsAb yield and quality. Some of the key factors influencing BsAb production include cell clone selection, culture medium, temperature, and pH. In the following study, a systematic screening approach utilizing the ambr15 high-throughput system identified optimal conditions for two distinct clones. A subsequent bench-top bioreactor confirmation helped validate these findings and highlighted the importance of cultivation time on product quality. By integrating screening, optimization, and confirmation steps, a robust upstream process was established for efficient and high-quality BsAb production. Download the full article to learn more.
