HEMOCHRON Response

The HEMOCHRON Response is a whole blood coagulation monitoring instrument
The HEMOCHRON Response is a whole blood coagulation monitoring instrument designed to be used at the Point of Care. Includes an easy-to-read screen and data management features, including patient and operator ID options. QC lock-out can be enabled for enhanced regulatory compliance.

For 30 years, HEMOCHRON has been the standard for performing whole blood Activated Clotting Time (ACT). The ACT is the test traditionally used to monitor the use of heparin during cardiovascular surgery. The three different HEMOCHRON ACT tubes, Celite® ACT (FTCA510), Kaolin ACT (FTK-ACT) and Glass Activated (P214), were desiged to fit near patient applications such as cardiovascular surgery, cath lab, dialysis and ECMO. Our new HepCheck™ makes QC testing of P214 tubes easier than ever.

In addition to the ACT, the HEMOCHRON can perform a variety of other coagulation tests at the Point of Care. These include:

PT
APTT
Thrombin Time (TT)
Heparin Neutralized Thrombin Time (HNTT)
High Dose Thrombin Time (HiTT)
Fibrinogen
PDAO

The RxDx system series of tests, which run on the HEMOCHRON, provides testing that can determine the appropriate doses of heparin and protamine during cardiopulmonary bypass. By determining the dose for each individual patient, the RxDx system can improve patient outcomes by reducing blood loss and save money by decreasing use of blood products.
