Cambrex Scientist Spotlight: Daniel Kirschner

Daniel Kirschner, Executive Director of Analytical and Biopharmaceutical Services in Durham, NC, combines his deep passion for chemistry with strong leadership and problem-solving skills to advance the development of new drug therapies. With a Ph.D. in bioanalytical chemistry from the University of Alaska Fairbanks, Kirschner brings nearly 15 years of experience in pharmaceutical development across biotech and CDMO sectors.

He has expertise in all stages of clinical development, from pre-IND to registration, and is responsible for CMC analytical support, including method development, validation, impurity identification, and trace quantitation. Kirschner has authored multiple manuscripts, holds several patents, and is experienced in authoring CMC sections for regulatory submissions. His areas of expertise also include training, stability studies, process improvement, and Lean Six Sigma, ensuring quality and efficiency in highly regulated environments.
