Erie, PA - Clinical Leader announces agenda and panelist updates for its Clinical Leader Forum to be held in Philadelphia on May 10 – 11 at the Hilton Philadelphia City Avenue. Clinical Leader Forum is a conference designed for executives at pharma and biotech sponsor companies who rely on contract research organizations to conduct their clinical trials.

The conference’s most recent speaker update regards the session Solving The Problem of a Diversified Patient Pool. Today Clinical Leader is announcing that John Whyte, director, professional affairs and stakeholder engagement, FDA, will participate in this panel discussion. The FDA is demanding clinical trials represent a wider spectrum of patients. Sponsors are struggling to meet this requirement. This session explores what the FDA is actually asking of clinical trial sponsors and the techniques that will diversify your pool of trial participants.

“We have an amazing speaker lineup in place for the patient diversity panel, which includes representation by individuals from a sponsor company, a clinical site, and a physician,” says Ed Miseta, chief editor for Clinical Leader. “But having the FDA take part in this is a very exciting development for the Clinical Leader Forum. Sponsors always want to know what the FDA is thinking in certain areas, and John Whyte will be able to provide some great perspectives for our attendees on this hot topic. We are thrilled to have him on board.”

In addition to Whyte, panelists in this session include: Fabian Sandoval, CEO & research director, Emerson Clinical Research Institute; Karen Brooks, senior director, clinical operations, Adare Pharmaceuticals; Ola Akinboboye, medical director, Laurelton Heart Specialists PC;; and moderator Richard Tsai, vice president marketing, Inspire.
